Feeling so blessed

We have had a bit of a scary week in our family. My mom told us last Friday that she had found a lump close to where she found her 1st lump 6 years ago that was breast cancer. She actually noticed it awhile ago but she didn't want to ruin the family reunion that she had worked so hard on in Wyoming so she waited until after to tell us. She had a appointment on Monday with her doctor and her doctor told her that she had reason to be concerned and that he needed to run some tests. So Tuesday Morning she went in and had some test done and they told us that we would know within 24 hours. Needless to say the last 24 hours I have had a lump in my stomach just waiting for news. My mom called me today after talking to the doctor and they said that it is not cancer and they also ran a test to see if their was anything in her lungs as well and again they found no cancer. I am just feeling so blessed. My mom is truly a rock in my life and I don't know what my life would be like without her. The Lord has truly blessed our family.

4th of July

This year we had the best time in Wyoming for the 4Th of July. My mom made pioneer dresses for all of us and spent literally a whole year finding pioneer stories to share with us in Wyoming. We went to Martin's cove which was truly an amazing experience. My boys loved riding in the handcart and then hiking part of the way to the cove. There is such an amazing spirit there and it truly help me appreciate just a little bit more what those people went through. Dave and I talked about packing up everything we could fit into a handcart and getting the boys and just leaving. It is truly so hard to comprehend. While we were in Wyoming we also went to a Rodeo which the boys loved, watch truly one of the greatest firework shows I have ever been too, went to the Lander Wy parade which Parker loved getting soaked by the fire trucks, which is something I remember loving as a little kids, and had a BBQ with some of my cousins. It was an action filled weekend that I will truly never forget. We also had a run in with a rattle snake witch about scared Dave and I half to death since the boys were so close to it. I don't think my heart stopped beating a mile a minute for about an hour afterward. I love the 4Th of July and it was fun to spend it in the town where my mom grew up.

Soccer Camp

Last week Parker did his 1st soccer camp ever and loved it. I was the obnoxious mom on the sideline just glowing watching her little boy. It was so darling that on Friday Dave took off work to come watch Parker play. Any of you who know Dave know what a big deal this is because Dave never takes off work. Anyway Parker was so excited that he just kept smiling and looking at Dave. He had a hard time focusing on the ball sometimes because he was too busy showing off for Dad. I think Dave and I were both so excited for Parker to finally be old enough to start playing sports. It is something I have always wanted was to watch my boys play ball. I don't even care what sport it is I just love watching them play. Parker loved it so much that we signed him up for Fall soccer. I love being a mom!
