Parkers Birthday Party

Yesterday we had Parker's 5th Birthday Party since it was actually going to be nice weather and we could do some of it outside. It turned out so fun, and I have to say how impressed I am of how well behaved all of the kids were at the Party. We did a Carnival Party so we had a fishing pond, a bounce house, knocked down water bottles with water guns, pin the tail on the donkey, decorated cupcakes, ate popcorn and decorated clown balloons. Thanks to oriental trading for having a whole kit I could buy with all the necessities. He turns 5 on Saturday the 3rd. I love this little boy more then words can say.

My hard working boy

The last few weeks Dave has been working on finishing the basement, and Parker has been so excited about every step. He loves working with his Dad, and he is so excited to have a new room down there. We ordered the wood and had it delivered. Parker was so excited to watch the Forklift pick it up and drop it off on our driveway. As soon as the Forklift left Parker said "Mom I got to go and check to make sure it is good wood." He spent the day checking on the wood and making sure every neighbor that went by saw the wood. That night when Dave got home they had to move the wood into the basement. Parker was so excited to help. He said "Dad I got to go get my fireman's hat on in case something drops on my head I will be OK." I thought that was so random, but so stinking cute. He then spent the night helping his Dad. He hauled wood 1 piece at a time until all of it was done. He has loved being involved and I just love Dave so much for taking the time to involve him even though I know it slows him down a bit. Parker is so much like his Daddy, I think we might have another builder in the Johnson Family.

Love the face

For St. Patricks Day I made Green eggs and Ham for my kids for breakfast. Parker was so scared to try it. This was his 1st bite, I was laughing so hard. He did realized he liked it and ate them all gone. Jack wouldn't even try it.

Crossfit

Tomorrow I will be 12 weeks along in my pregnancy. I am so happy to be at this point because usually the chance of miscarriage goes way down and usually I start feeling better at 12 weeks. I have been so lucky this pregnancy to be able to continue working out which I believe has made the morning sickness not as bad as before. I usually have been too sick with past pregnancy to workout so I am so grateful. I workout at Viking Crossfit and the trainers have been so great to work with me. I am so excited because Crossfit has a program called Crossfit Mom which is specifically for women who are pregnant. I love working with trainers that help me know what I can continue to do and not be harmful to me or the baby. I am hoping that my entire pregnancy will be better as I plan on working out the rest of the time. Crossfit is so addicting and I have loved doing it. I get to workout with my sister Camie most of the time which is always tons of fun.

Easy Easter Treats

I found these online and thought they were a fun and most important easy Easter treat to make with my kids. Also my kids will actually eat these. Every holiday we decorate cookies which my kids love but, my kids won't eat cookies only frosting. So I am stuck eating all the decorated cookies myself. However my kids love rice krispy treats so I am going to try these out.

St Patricks Day

I love getting on people's blogs that post fun family things like FHE ideas, great Holiday ideas, good recipes, kids crafts etc. I am not at all creative so I love using other peoples creativity. So I want to hopefully do more of that on my blog with fun ideas I have done in my life or heard of from a friend. For St. Patricks Day a couple of fun things my mom would do is she would make green eggs and ham for breakfast or we have a heart shaped waffle iron so she would make us clover waffles by separating the hearts and serve with green syrup. We always loved it as kids. The other fun idea that my cousin did last year and I thought was such a great idea is she had her kids go around the house and find things that the leprechaun had left. She did things like turned the milk green, hide some chocolate coins. I thought these were some fun ways to make St. Patricks Day more festive.

Cute Cupcakes

OK I have to admit that I copied these from my cousins blog. She just posted them and I thought they were so cute. Such a fun idea for St. Patricks Day.

Sunday

1st of all I have to say that my husband is the best dad ever. On Sunday the boys wanted to ride their bikes to grandmas and of course I wasn't going to take them it was way too cold for me. So they went and asked their dad and of course he said yes. So here they are. I couldn't resist taking a picture, especially since they are both dressed as superman too. I couldn't have asked for a better man!

Parker loves music. He sings all day long and whenever a song comes on the TV he seriously can't help but get up and dance. When we went to the Cabin this winter and my dad brought his guitar Parker fell in love with it. When Grandpa plays his guitar Parker just eats up every minute of it. My mom decided since Parker and Kali love music so much she would buy them a guitar. Parker has been in heaven. For show and tell at Preschool he was suppose to bring his favorite toy and he choose his guitar. I bet his teacher was so excited to see that lol. Hopefully when he is just a bit older he will still love it and we can sign him up for lessons.

Winter Fun

Holy Cow we got dumped on

This is Jack about to throw a snowball at me

With the recent snow storm my boys woke up 1st thing and wanted to go outside and play in the snow. I went out to check on them and I see them both shoveling the walks. How cute is that? Hopefully they will still want to work like that when they are teenagers

The next Day I took the kids sledding with their cousins. The snow was almost gone but the kids still had tons of fun together.

Gotta Love Insurance

I went to the doctor last week and got all my blood work done and took about 45 mins and gave them all my information and thought everything was great. So I get a call saying that they don't take my insurance a few days later, so I would have to switch doctors. So I called my previous doctors and they wanted me to come in right away since they usually like to see their patients by 8 weeks and I am 9 weeks. So I had another doctors appointment today. It was all worth it though because today I got to hear the babies heartbeat. I guess my uterus was tilled forward so he was able to hear it. What a relief it was a strong heartbeat. I asked him if he would be able to hear 2 heartbeats yet if there are 2, and he wants to get an ultrasound done since twins run in my family to check. So I am off to the doctors again next week to get an ultrasound and hopefully there is only 1 baby, but if there is 2, well we will be so happy too. (But terrified)
